Testimonials:

“I sought out somatic therapy because I struggled with feeling present in my body as well as the physicality of my feelings, or the reaction to my feelings. I have often been told by therapists that I’m very aware of how I feel or who I am, but I have trouble accessing the emotions in a more visceral way, often leaving me feeling like a secondary observer to my own life and state of being. Ollie offered me flexible services where we rotated through several exercises over about an hour. I found it useful to engage more in creative, semi-guided activities that focused on getting me to make tangible expressions of what is typically inner turmoil. We would usually start by talking in the familiar therapy format in a way that felt more casual, allowing me to relax from the more robotic dispensing of self-diagnosed issues. I typically do to make the most of a doctor’s visit. Following that we might do guided mediation, physical activities like freeform dancing, creative/destructive pursuits like drawings of my emotional state, and several others. Often, we’d finish with another talk to reflect on where I was now. Ollie was present and attentive in all our sessions, making sure I felt like I could redirect or stop any activity we were doing whenever I wanted, as well as I could take any exercise where I needed it to go. It was hard at times to take the practices seriously, but I recommend giving them all a sincere go. I valued the outlet it provided to me and found it useful in accessing myself and sitting properly with how I felt, like a pressure release valve. I recommend this to others who find traditional talk therapy to be limited, and to those that feel frustrated with talking about what they already know but still feel helpless to do anything about it or garner any positive change in their life.”

“Ollie has tremendous, humble presence: they beautifully hold grounded, curious space for process, creativity, & tricky conversations. I so value the calm, care, & authenticity they bring to the work. Whatever type of offering they’re making to community, I trust it will be interesting, fun, & wisdom-generating for body, mind, & emotions. Highly recommend this human as a guide in whatever you’re trying to explore & understand more deeply!” —JP, Community Health Provider
